Blog · Evidence boundaries

Before you use a product claim, ask whether it is a target, evidence or approval route.

Industrial equipment decisions become risky when a design target is read as a test result or a module boundary is read as a complete system approval. This page keeps those layers visible.

Four statements that should not be merged

01

Public product position

Line A is a box-level extractive module for analyzer integration. Line B is a direct pipeline insertion module for high-concentration CH₄ in a drainage pipeline.

02

Engineering target

Target values are internally reasoned starting points from the product model. They are not completed bench measurements.

03

Project evidence

The final specification must preserve gas, pressure, temperature, flow, response, accuracy, interface and test conditions.

04

Jurisdictional route

MA, ATEX, IECEx, EAEU, MSHA and other paths apply to different products and systems. The route must be confirmed with the host instrument and relevant institution.

What the public site will and will not say

Public statementWhat it meansWhat it does not mean
Engineering targetA parameter is an engineering target to be checked. It is not a completed test or customer acceptance result.
Project confirmation requiredGas, pressure, temperature, flow, interface or installation changes the decision. It is not a promise that every project will use the same configuration.
Design target: Ex ia I MaThe module design is being discussed against an intrinsic-safety target. It is not a certificate or permission to apply the module as a complete mine device.
Module boundaryThe product supplies a measurement node and defined interface. It is not a complete analyzer or complete mine monitoring system.

Use status as a decision aid

Before approving a prototype or asking for a quotation, identify which sentence you are relying on. If it is a target, ask for conditions and a test plan. If it is evidence, ask for the report and its boundary. If it is an approval claim, ask which product, system and jurisdiction it covers.

Clear status is not a weakness in the offer. It is what lets the host team decide what must be confirmed next.

FAQ

Questions engineers ask next

Is Line B already certified Ex ia I Ma?

No. Ex ia I Ma is the design target stated for the module. Certification status and system assessment remain project and jurisdiction matters.

Does a standard name prove the product is compliant?

No. The applicable scope, product form, test method, report and institution decision must all be checked.

Can the website publish final accuracy before testing?

No. The page can publish a target with conditions and status; final accuracy requires evidence under stated conditions.

Is a module the same as a complete mine monitoring system?

No. The module is a measurement node and installation form. The host system remains responsible for the complete system boundary, logic and applicable approval work.
