About Specvaltech

We work with instrument engineers, not instrument operators.

Specvaltech is a specialist engineering company that designs and supplies TDLAS gas measurement modules for OEM instrument manufacturers and system integrators. Our position in the supply chain is deliberate: we work upstream, with the engineers who design and build instruments, not with the operators who use them.

What does Specvaltech supply? Specvaltech supplies TDLAS gas measurement modules — the measurement node inside a gas analyser or monitoring instrument. We supply Line A (box-level OEM module, 140 × 110 × 96 mm) and Line B (pipeline insertion module, Ø25 × 74 mm). Both use TDLAS measurement. Both output a calibrated gas concentration to your instrument controller. We do not supply finished instruments, safety systems or installation services.

Our position in the supply chain

The diagram above shows where Specvaltech sits in the supply chain. We supply the measurement node. The OEM instrument maker — our customer — builds the instrument around it. The instrument maker is responsible for the enclosure, the display, the interlock logic, the safety marking and the type examination. This boundary is not a limitation. It is the design intent of our product line.

This position means we can focus on what we do well: TDLAS measurement engineering, gas cell design, signal processing and module integration support. It also means we do not compete with our customers. We are not building instruments that would replace the products you are designing.

Markets and geographies

Specvaltech works with instrument makers and system integrators in China, Russia, Poland and Germany. These markets share a common technical challenge: gas drainage monitoring in coal mines, where high-concentration methane, negative-pressure pipelines and difficult-access installation points make conventional sensor technology unreliable.

The regulatory and type examination frameworks differ across these markets — Chinese MT standards, Russian GOST and Rostechnadzor requirements, Polish WUG standards, and German ATEX/IECEx frameworks — but the underlying measurement problem is the same. Our engineering assessment process is designed to identify the market-specific considerations that apply to your project.

Engineering assessment: why it is the starting point

We do not ask customers to choose a module from a catalogue before we understand their application. The engineering assessment is the first step in every project engagement. It maps the gas path, confirms the pressure envelope, identifies the right module form factor and flags any interface or certification considerations before you commit to a design direction.

The assessment is not a sales process. It is an engineering process. If your application does not fit our current module line, we will tell you that rather than try to fit a module to a problem it cannot solve.

What we do not do

To be clear about the service boundary:

  • We do not supply finished gas analysers or monitoring instruments.
  • We do not provide type examination, explosion-proof certification or safety marking. These remain the OEM instrument maker's responsibility.
  • We do not provide installation and commissioning services at end-user sites.
  • We do not provide system-level safety architecture or interlock design.
  • We do not act as a distributor or reseller for other instrument manufacturers.
